I'm having all sorts of problems with my iPhone since the last software update. It seems I can only do a restore on my work PC, not on my MacBook Pro or my sister's MacBook. I can transfer my music and photos OK from my MacBook Pro onto the iPhone but how do I install the back-up with contacts, old text messages etc ??? Cheers for any help ???

I think you can right click the phone icon when its plugged in to iTunes and select "restore backup." Or maybe that's just to manually make a backup... Either way, you could look into it...

You can only restore from one of these computers and get everything back, and that has to be the one where you backed up the iPhone. So, go to that computer and do a restore in DFU mode and then choose restore from backup when the dialog comes up later.
