hi,

as i'm located in china and limera1n site is blocked i can only download and jailbreak from mirror sites.

but after the jailbreak i cannot install cydia as limera1n app is blocked also.

but i can access cydia site and was wondering if i could install cydia by itself not thru limera1n?

thanks:)

y. give it a little time it will be there. hopefully by then it won't be beta! or better mirrors btw people here are having the same issues too.

You need to find a way around chinas restrictions somehow. Search thru mirror sities, vpn's or torrent sites.
You cant install cydia without jailbreaking your phone first. So no limerain=no cydia installation.
If the cydia repo packages are also blocked in china you're out of luck.

Having suffered 30 days in China - Beijing to be precise a few months back. I can tell you that those that are stuck there and want to maintain the ability to enjoy jailbroken/Cydia apps, I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend you spend some money and get VPN access! I used/use StrongVPN PPTP as it doesn't appear to be blocked, unlike WiTopia's PPTP. Do yourselves a huge favor and invest in a VPN and your internet surfing experience will be so much better! The China Firewall is totally nuts and practically made me insane by the 2nd week being unable to access whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted!

There's a free option, use Hotspotshield for iPhone (free) to download Cydia on your phone

I don't need this but that's nice to know that hotspotshield is available for iPhone. I use it on my MacBook when espn3.com has blackout for certain areas.(college football online) it works great!
