Hi all!

I am testing different versions of ilife to find the best one running on a sweet g3 500mhz with 1gb ram to prepare the first computer for my daughter.

I installed 06 and now when I install 04 it says "nothing to install".
I tried renaming garageband and other apps in applications but it still gives the same issue.

How can I install both on the same machine?

Thanks!

Try creating an iLife 06 folder in your Applications folder and moving all iLife '06 applications in there. Then, try installing iLife '04 again.

Hi there!

Thanks for your help.

I tried but result is the same, it offers to "upgrade" only garage band and for the other ones, included imovie, the only option in the installer is skip. :/

Maybe mac os x stores the information that a software is installed somewhere?
