How do I install Lion OSx fresh onto a SSD?
I keep reading so many different things.
I see that you need SL to install Lion. What?

Mine is the MBP 2011 and it was SL before Lion came out but it is currently Lion.

Please tell me how to install my OSx onto my SSD step by step.
I'm getting really annoyed. :/

I would love to make a huge backup recovery file, but it's over 200GB. While my SSD only has 120GB.

Can that be done with "FRESH" install of Lion?
I don't want any previous data from my HD.

I did the first option that you told me to do awhile ago, but it says my Recovery HD is locked?
What?

But I don't want to recover, I just want to install the Lion OSx as new onto the SSD.

If you create a USB Key using the app in the second post, you can perform a clean install of Lion on the new drive. It's designed to be the last resort option in case of a hard drive crash that requires a brand new HDD to be installed.

apple released software recently so u can create a recovery flash drive with any usb flash drive. so make one, its free and then put it on the ssd and than time capsule that baby back to your setting etc XD
