I need to install a clean install of OSX onto my Mac Mini as i sold it on eBay. The problem is i do not have a monitor. However, i do have a Macbook.

How would i perform a clean install? And is there a feature that zeros out the hard drive to wipe away any existing data?

If the Mini is an Intel one then boot it to target disk mode and start the install on the MacBook. The Mini will show as a firewire drive and you can install OSX to it. If it's PPC this won't work as the Macbook will install OSX for Intel.

And yes, you can use disk utility in the installer to wipe the drive and zero it out.

Its a PPC. :(

I'll try bringing it to work and borrow a monitor.

lol, ive had it for a while cause it perfectly describes me.
