HEy,

I was wondering if anyone can reccomend an insurance company that will cover my Macbook Pro.

I don't mean home content insurance, but insurance against theft or loss if i'm out and about with my laptop. I always get a bit nervy carring it around with me.

Cheers.

thanks, but needs to be for the Uk.

I did a google search but most of the sites look a bit dodgy. I always find it difficult to guess the genuine ones.

I'd start with your regular insurance agent. Mine's a ditz (I never get mail from them addressed to the same name twice), but they still suggested a personal articles policy that covers laptops, jewelry and cameras for us. Seems like a decent deal, as there's no deductible and covers accidental damage (in addition to fire, theft, etc). Then again, I've never had to file a claim, but I have a hard time imagining an insurance agent arguing about covering a $2000 laptop when home and car insurance is on the line.
