How to JAILBREAK iphone 3GS (4.3.1)

I need help to Jail break my iphone 3GS (4.3.1).

Ok done as per the instructions but soon i move up next step ( after pressing power / home button for 10 seconds) i get explorer error "Redsn0w_win_0.9.6rc9 stop responding & program will be closed

Any help with that why i get this error ?

Do you have Mac or window?

If you have window, reds0w needs to be run in window XP compatible mode.

Yes I was trying to Jailbreak on Windows 7, it worked on XP for me smoothly. Thanks for the great help.

I need help in one more thing, Any idea how can i install Mikandi on my iphone ? cause it seem i am not able to install it .....

Any help will be appreciated.
