How to keep Cydia/Installous apps? Updating IP4 to 4.2.1.

Does anyone know how I can go about updating my iPhone 4 to 4.2.1, whilst keeping my Installous and cydia apps (with save data/settings intact)

Is it possible to do through FTP, or something?

Its very hard to keep the save data other than retoring from a backup....

your installous should be fine if you sync them to your computer every time after downloading
