Hi folks...

I know tis question has been asked for many time...I just got myself a new iMac.. However, how could I give them in sync, especially mail, contact and calender ?

Any method besides purchasing Mobile Me?

Thanks!!!

For files under 2gb, use www.getdropbox.com.
For mail, use IMAP instead of POP, and preferably you should get something like GMail which offers both IMAP and a web interface for when you're not at your computer.
For contacts and calendars, you should also use Gmail - they support syncing like exchange (google for howtos).

With new versions of OS X (definitely Snow Leopard, but I think Leopard does this as well) you can use MobileMe, a Yahoo account, or a Google account to keep Address Book and iCal in sync. For Mail, I'd suggest using IMAP (such as can be used with Gmail) and storing notes and todos (if you use Mail for that) on the server.
