Really. It was ok at first, but now it's just annoying as it takes 30 minutes to back up.
I also use an old desktop so it's really slow.

If you didn't read the title; my problem is that my iPod will back up itself every time I plug it in the computer

Can anyone tell me how to disable this? I dread plugging it in to the computer and I dread getting new apps because I know that it will take nearly an hour before I can get the job done.

Just PLEASE. Help.

There is also a "widget" called "Backoff for iTunes" which allows you to sync without backing up, making your syncs faster.

you dont have to back it up every time. when syncing, if you click that little "x" in the status bar where it has the progress bar when it says backing up, it will skip the backup and proceed to the other stuff
