I was wondering, how do you keep reminders in the notification center for asking as you want? I can only seem to set it for a certain day/time or location. I want a do-to-list there when I swipe down and for it to stay there for as long as I want. Is this possible?

You are looking for something like the new app called Clear. You make your own reminders in it, cross them off or delete them when done. It's really pretty cool - colorful UI and dynamic graphics. Fun to use. It's just now out (99 cents for a while), so I'm in the learing-to-make-use-of-it mode.
Has a great deal of promise, although there are others who prefer the existing "reminders" part of calendar.
