how to kill pop-up tabs in safari?

hey,

sometimes i get pop-up tabs when i click 'play' on streaming video. the most annoying thing is, that these pop-up tabs "pop-up" a notification about some nonsense, and safari gives me the option to check "do not show warnings from this website again", but this does not work. is there any solution?
