Is that a deal-breaker for you, if the app won't turn?

If that is not obvious with screen shots in the App Store, but you are not willing to buy it and try it, you could try contacting the developer for the app, I suppose.

Not really but it is nice feature if the app will turn.

Then, do your homework... particularly if a high-cost app.
If you name the app, maybe someone here will know.

That seems like an odd thing to be concerned about. Generally, if an app doesn't switch to landscape mode that's because it wouldn't work well like that on a given screen size.

You can buy it, try it, and if it doesn't do what you expect then you can process a refund online. It's automatic, no need to speak to anyone.

The lax refund policy is controversial and I'm sure the developers hate it, but this is a perfectly reasonable cause IMO.

i thought that was only for the EU app store? Not sure where the OP is from but I would love that option here in the US the same as Android.

Oh is that the case? I didn't realise. I'm sure it's possible to get a refund on the US store too with a valid reason, though it would be a hassle.
