I have exchange for work, and unfortunately I have the iphone data cap as I am not grandfathered in for unlimited. How I can I keep the iPhone 4 from automatically downloading the attachment (which could run up my data use- I get some very big attachments sometimes) when a new email is pushed out to the iPhone?
I cannot find any setting on the iPhone to limit email attachments. On other activesync smartphones you can limit it to not download certain size attachments (or at all), etc. where the email is pushed to the phone, but not the attachment unless you select it do so. Even with the Pro Plan, it is possible that with some of the large data files sent as attachments could push me up against or over that limit if all were downloaded.
