I don't know whether this is an OS thing but I don't know how to do a couple of very simple things. On Firefox when I search I used to see a menu bar by the search results that had ALL -video - IMAGES - NEWS etc. I don't see where to set this up as a default. Now when I search all I see here is ANYTIME. When I search on my 7,1 Mac Pro with Firefox on Monterey I have no problems.

Are you sure Firefox is set to use Google? I have these tabs as expected.
Settings, Search, top popup. May be you are using different search machine.

I've used both Google and Startpage as my search engine (the default being Startpage, as from EU with more privacy / security laws in place) on Firefox. In both cases, the default search screen has not had the list, while the results page then includes Images, Videos, News, etc under the search bar.
I know of no shortcut to take you directly to, say, Images as default. If there is, it would likely be in the initial address provided by the search engine, not in Firefox itself.

I thought the same - and I will verify as I thought I used google fr images, but in checking my Mac Pro that's networked it also uses yahoo. Yahoo is how the Mac Studio OS is set up. 15.5

But I don't even get images unless I include "photo" or "images" in my search. And what comes up are stock-free images from a site like getty.

I still find this frustrating. Anytime I search for images, I'm given a list of links to maybe search, like getty images, facebook, instagram and various search engines. On my phone and on my 7,1 MacPro (Monterey) when I search for an images like Grover Cleveland I get actual images. I don't even have to search for photos/images. I just get search results that include images. Is this a security feature of Sequoia or do I need to change a setting?

Running the latest MacOS and FireFox, using Google and nothing else, it works fine for me. Always has.
Maybe you should install FireFox from scratch.

Yeah. But when I search it says yahoo in the upper right corner. My Mac Pro 67,1 said the same though. I went to preferences to check out the search engine and it was set to "package status web search." I switched it to google. NO change so far but I haven't quit my browser yet.

I got 'em. I wish I could tell you what it was I did. Various settings buttons I pressed. But I think it was rebooting that did the trick, whatever it was. Thanks.
