I installed Spore and apparently my cd key was already being used (though I was told it was a new copy of the game). Anyway, I exchanged my old copy for a new copy but to use the new key I have to uninstall Spore. I uninstalled the main app by the usual method (drag to trash) but upon reinstalling the game did not prompt me for a key.

Can anyone tell me specifically how to uninstall all the old files?
or
Can someone tell me a way to find all the old files?

Thanks in advance. I'm starting to think this game is more trouble than it's worth.

As per the readme, you want to also delete this folder:

/Users/<Username>/Library/Preferences/Spore Preferences

Then run again.

Take care,

You should download AppCleaner. It finds all files associated with the application you are trying to delete and deletes those to so this doesn't happen. I use it whenever I delete an app.
