Hey all.

I want to lock myself out of my Mac between specific times (00.00-08.00), so that I don't spend my nights on the computer.

The only alternatives I found has all to do with child-proofing/restricting stuff, and/or setting up a "child account" and restricting that.

I would like to avoid that, since I am the only user of the Mac.

Does anyone know of any software that actually locks the whole computer and uses a different password than the administrator/user password?

Thanks!

Those apps block Internet for you, but I want to lock the ENTIRE COMPUTER with a password that is different from my user account password...

Thanks for that tip!

However, the Pomodoro software he uses only has intervals for 25-35 minutes, while I'm looking for something that could lock the Mac for eight hours or so.

Maybe I could modify Pomodoro, or use another program to change keyboard layout momentarily? (As is his method.)
