For the entire time I have had a mac I have not used a password… I Hate how you are prompted all of the time for it! When I was clean installing lion it would not advance me to the next wind pane without making one, so I did, thinking I could just erase it later. When I go to system preferences -> users & groups -> change password it won't let me enter a blank password into the box. Any advice? If it makes any difference I do have a master password set and my computer does have filevault on.

Thanks :)

You want to use filevault with no password? That's about the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I wouldn't be surprised if this is precisely why you're required to have a password.
