I'm currently trying to configue my MX518 mouse (USB Overdrive is my driver).

Anyway, I have *heard* that PC's run/port USB mice at 125hz by default, and I'm assuming it's the same for Mac's (especially since Logitech has no drivers for MX518's on Mac's - and i can definitely notice it in games) and I want to change it so that it's 500hz or 2ms (the optimum sample rate for a game I play on the Q3 Engine) - I know how to do it on a PC using Device Manager but I have no clue on how to do it on a Mac. Are there any applications/software that let me do this? A program like this http://www.majorgeeks.com/USB_Mouserate_Switcher_d4469.html for Mac is what I'm looking for or any alternative.

In simple language, I WANT TO CHANGE THE SAMPLE RATE OF MY MOUSE TO 500HZ. :)

This is what I found in System Profiler:

USB-PS/2 Optical Mouse:

Version: 30.00
Bus Power (mA): 500
Speed: Up to 1.5 Mb/sec
Manufacturer: Logitech
Product ID: 0xc051
Vendor ID: 0x046d

Can someone tell me what my current sample rate is? And if it is 500hz/or changeable to 500hz?

Thankyou in advance for any responses, you are doing good in helping a computer-illiterate gamer. :D

PS. I have an 2Ghz iMac PowerPC G5. Need any more specs, please just ask. =]
