It's not a house, it's a home.
Hi,

I'm trying to have a pop-up like this with the gradient...like apple.com

How can I achieve this...Are there any good tutorial sites to check?

Ie - when you click on the - "Watch an Introduction to the Apple Retail Store."

Here:

http://www.apple.com/retail/

Are there good tutorials out there for this stuff? What programs should I use?

Thanks so much!!!

:)

Thanks...Any ideas how to make the gradient like Apple does?

Thanks!

You can create a transparent PNG image in Photoshop and tile it according to use as the background. The drawback to this method is that it's not very cross-compatible in older browsers (they will just see a solid color if anything).

FancyZoom is very very similar to apple's
Actually it is what Panic uses on their website. It is free for non-commercial use, and like $30 for a licence.

If you dont want to pay, you can use MacZoom. It is a wordpress plugin, but as I recall it wasnt too hard to "de-plugin-ify" it...
however I cant find a link for that right now!

Apple-Like Popup

Check out my new blog where my first feature post is all about creating an Apple-Like popup. If you know just basic HTML & CSS this will be right up your alley. I plan on creating more Apple-Like features so others can stop pulling their hair trying to figure out how Apple did that!
