Heaven or Hell
I am trying to make One sentence bold in Text Edit ,
but when i hit cmd + B, it makes the entire text BOLD ??

How do i just make the selected text bold and not the entire text ?

thanks !

Just as a check, make sure you're in Rich Text mode. It sounds like you are, but just want to make sure. If you're having issues with styling only effecting what you've selected, does the same thing happen when you do other styling such as italic?

Yeah, the problem i had,
i was in Plain text mode and that doesn't work in plain text mode.

Strange, but it only works in Rich Text mode.

Well, that's why they call it "plain" text. Rich text has a lot of extra characters in the file that you cannot directly see. With plain text, you see everything that is being saved in the file, which is very important for people like me who program code and do web pages.
