Hi Guys,
One of our clients this year wants an ecard, we've done the artwork but now we're stumped.
How do I get the Artwork to show up in an email like an ecard?
I know I could just drag into mail but will this show up in all email clients?
Mainly going to be web based and outlook.

Cheers
Jake

You didn't explain how you're creating your ecard.

There's multiple ways,

  1. Send an image of the ecard, should be straight forward.
  2. Do a CSS designed email that looks like an ecard, though this only works for people using programs that support CSS in the messages. Also you generally have to use inline CSS as all other CSS will be stripped by a number of email programs, and realize some CSS isn't understood by mail programs.
  3. The last solution (that I'll mention) is to post the ecard on a web site and email a link to it.
Here's some links.

You might also want to consider a combination of what angelwatt suggested: if you send the image or html/css as an email also include a link to the webpage or a zip file so that people can download it.

You could also look at mailchimp.com, a service which facilitates this for you. Free for small amounts!

If you want to sign up, please consider using this link so I get recognised as referrer :)

If the card is going to be sent from a mac, would a mail stationnary template work. They are not too hard to do.
