While playing around with the settings of my mouse, i discovered that you can totally boost your finder's speed in Leopard by bringing your mouse's double click speed to one bar before the last one. Try doing this and then reverting to a slower speed.... see the amazing difference in Finder? Try to open folders you haven't opened before. Let me know how this works for you.

Doesn't change the performance.

Having it on max made it a lot harder to open documents because I had to almost click three or four times. Probably because having it on max was designed to eliminate accidental clicking?

Doesn't make the Finder faster by any means though.

You may need to do the archive and install first - that was my experience and the difference is like day and night

This is wonderful nonsense.

I swear, they'll let anyone sign up for a MR forum account these days....

Thanks alot man!! I just spit out my water after reading this and ruined my new wireless keyboard!

holy retarded batman....

I like to sprinkle my RAM with powered sugar for a quick 5% speed bump.

Using my Mac upsidedown also provides an additional 20% Finder boost, but only since I moved to Leopard...

I tried this in Windows XP and it turned into OS X!!! WOW!!!! AMAZING!! It works a lot better now! THANKS!

The Stig

You just wasted a few clicks to change XP into OSX, you just need to close your eyes and pretend you're a blind OSX users, much more blissful than a regular XP user...
