How to make Finder-window bigger by default

Hi guys on Macrumors.com

I'm new to the mac and just got my new Macbook PRO. The Penryn model, not the new alumium. I think i like the old design better btw.

My questions is about how you make the finder-windows bigger by default?
I can make i bigger by draging in the down right, but then i close it and start it again its just damn small again. I'm just to have more space reading my files, and this is kind of fustrating.

Hope you guys can help med.
