Alright, everyone. I have been playing around with Firefox for the past few days. Thought it most definitely isn't better than Chrome, I have found some tips to make it more Lion/Mountain Lion friendly, especially on Notebooks. I'm just posting this to help any Firefox users out there. Here are the things that will be improved/modified:

  • Pinch To Zoom re-enabled
  • Fix Annoying Persistent Scrollbars
  • More to come soon/by request

(Re-)Enable Pinch to Zoom

This feature is really easy to enable. Simply download the following add-on:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/pinchy/
Not as smooth as Safari, but it works fine. You should uninstall the add-on after it is enabled.

Persistent Scrollbars Fix
This is easy as well. Simply download the following extension:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/stylish/?src=search
Then, after you install/restart the browser, install the following user style:
http://userstyles.org/styles/5449/scrollbar-hidden-hide-scrollbars-totally
This will eliminate scrollbars. The only issue with this style is that the scrollbars don't reappear when scrolling.

Again, this is a work in progress. I'll be trying to update this in the days to come. If there are any requests, please let me know. I'll try to work on it. Thanks :)
