Whenever Spotify changes songs, I get a Growl notification which shows me the song name/artist/album (pictured below). Is there a way to get iTunes to do this as well? Maybe some sort of apple script or an add-on for Growl/iTunes?

Use Cover Stream, it shows when you change the current song, i have a few months using it since i got my Mac and no issues until today with Lion (updated to 10.7.3). Also if you want you can have the name and cover of the song in the desktop (useful for GeekTool if you like that app too).

Download the Growl Tunes plugin from the Growl website and it will do exactly what you want for free integrated into the Growl app.

GrowlTunes is exactly what I was looking for. I've installed it and it works just like the Spotify notifications. Thanks.
