how to make line in sound from xbox 360 to output though mbp speakers!

Hi, I have a sound cable coming from my xbox 360 through a converter into the macbook pro, and the mbp recognizes the line-in, but I don't know how to make that sound cme out of the laptop? how do I do this?

I know how to do this in vista, but I cannot figure it out in os x
