Hello. Under Windows, one could install yahoo messenger so that when a new email has arrived at the yahoo mailbox, the system produces a sound to notify the user. I know that this can be done in Mail under Mac OS. If I want Mac OS to produce a sound to notify me of new email arriving at my yahoo account, what can I do? Thanks.

It's as reliable as any other Firefox plugin. You enter your username and password dozens of times every day anyways... what's one more? If you're really concerned about security you wouldn't be using Yahoo in the first place.

You could just use mail which is installed on your Mac it makes a sound every time a new e-mail comes in it just has to be open thats all, if you need it to be open every time your on your mac two finger click on it and check open at login that way when you get a new e-mail your Mac will make a sound.

Hope this helps :)
