I want to make my mac think that a folder is a single file. I want this because I downloaded an ipsw file in an attempt to jail break my friend's I device. But I downloaded an *.ipsw.zip file, and in the extraction process, the finder made a folder entitled *.ipsw, but redsn0w fails to detect it as a legit I device's firmware. I have run into this problem before, where simply adding a file extension to a folder did not make it appear as a single file. How can I fool osx into thinking that it is one file? Thank you in advance!

Thats strange. are you sure the .ipsw isnt in the folder? Try unrarx. Or maybe its not a .zip at all, try taking the .zip off and see what happens
