Is there a way to get the preview screen that is below the message list in mail to swap places with the message list, i.e., put preview on the top and messages on the bottom? This seems so basic, but perhaps that is why I am so surprised I cannot find a solution for this.

Still no replies, maybe it's because I posted it at an odd time so here is another chance to offer your suggestions. There is also a chance this is just a crappy lameo question

There is no way to do this.. just as there is no way to switch the mail drawer from the left to the right.

OK, thanks. I will now end my search, unless someone dirvently disagrees.;)

Interestingly, you could do that in Panther but not in Tiger. You can also do it in any Tiger app that still uses a "drawer" but not ones that use an integrated window like Mail 2.x does....

But uncustomizable, learn to love our way of doing things...hmmm...from Apple? no.........
