how to make one dual desktop image show on both displays

I'm trying to figure out how to get to get a dual desktop image to show on both screens as one image. I found an old post that mentioned using the tile function, but I can't figure out how that would do the trick. Can anyone lead me in the right direction?

You have to configure this is the Displays preferences pane.
