I was wondering how to make JPEG files open with Preview by default. The reason I ask is because my scanned images open with HP's photo editing software whenever I open them. Thanks :)

Click on the image file, choose "Get Info" (Apple + i keys) and in the information window go to the area that says "open with" and in the drop down menu choose Preview as the default. (see pic below)
