I have to admit, even though I'm a huge Google Chrome fan myself, and I normally subscribe to the Chrome developer channel on all my systems (Windows, Mac OS X and Linux) that Safari 5.1.1 is simply better integrated into Mac OS X Lion when it comes to the full-screen support, trackpad gestures and for some reason HTML5 and overall performance seems better with Safari compared to Chrome in OS X.

The performance bit is rather odd because Chrome under both Windows7 and Linux (talking v15.x.x here) is providing better numbers in most tests (HTML5, javascript etc..) compared to what I'd get under Mac OS X Lion? It almost seems like the performance of Chrome under Mac OS X Lion has a artificial limitation of some kind?

Whatever the case, my points is that currently under Mac OS X Lion I enjoy Safari better than Google Chrome. BUT! There are some things I would love to change with Safari, and as I barley have any past experience with Safari I'm creating this thread in other to see if there might be some solutions to the few things I find lacking with Safari compared to Chrome.

First of all I would NEVER have used Safari if it wasn't for Safari Omnibar which is my number one favourite feature with Google Chrome. But there is indeed room for some improvement.

- 1: Is there anyway I can change the Google localisation which Safari Omnibar uses? It defaults to using Google.com which makes sense, but in order to get more related search result I would love to change it into using Google.no instead of Google.com. There have been several occasions whereas I must manually go to Google.no in order to get the the right search results for my searches.

- 2: I love how the omnibar in Chrome works with "Google Instant" activated, for those who don't know what this feature does it simply makes whatever you type in the address bar automatically load. So if I type "Where to eat" my Google search results will automatically load as I type, instead of me having to type it all and the click enter for the search to begin. Is it possible to get this feature working with the omnibar add-on for Safari?

- 3: YouTube AutoHD is a extension available for Google Chrome, what is does is letting me decide whatever default resolution and whether YouTube should auto-wide my YouTube videos or not. I have found a YouTube Auto Wide extension for Safari, but is there any way I can make YouTube videos automatically load 720P or 1080P instead of this 480P nonsense?

- 4: Is there actually a working HTML5 enabler for YouTube? I'm in the HTML5 BETA thing, but often Safari seems to forget that I' am. This is why I got a HTML5 enabler add-on for Chrome that forces HTML5, but everything I have tried for Safari just messes up YouTube completely? Making it impossible to select video quality etc..

- 5: Click2Flash is a great extension, but why am I not able to select YouTube video quality when this extension is enabled?
