Hello. Mac OS comes with lots of nice screen savers. Some of them have transition effects such as showing a photo, slowly zoom in or out the image, the image fades slowly and then show the next photo. Anybody knows how to call such effect? Could you please let me know how to do the same thing in Keynotes presentation? Thanks.

Unfortunately, Keynote doesn't directly offer the Ken Burns effect (the style you're referring to), although with a bit of work you might could use either the Actions pane of the Inspector to manually animate the objects on a slide to produce the same effect, or even the Magic Move transition. Wouldn't want to do that myself.

If it's just pictures, you can use the slideshow functionality in iPhoto instead, which does produce the same effect. You can even export them as Quicktime videos.

Thank you very much.

Shall I upgrade to iPhoto 11?

Hello. I just tried on iPhoto 09. It is quite cool. Does iPhoto 11 give the users addition features/control in making Ken Burns effect videos? Thanks.

Hello. I am able to make Ken Burns effect slideshow in iPhoto. However, when I exported it to QuickTime video, the effect is lost. Also, the interval between the slides also seem to be shorter. Could anybody please let me know how to export the Ken Burns effect slideshow to Quicktime video correctly? Thanks.
