How to make script automatically execute

Hey i have a script that changes the permissions for files automatically. Is there a way to make this script run every time a file is added to a certain folder on my computer??

Folder Actions are what you're looking for.

If I remember correctly, you need to place it in the Scripts folder for your account. Not at my Mac, but I believe it's ~/Library/Scripts/Folder Actions Scripts.
