We have a family apple I.D, not sure why but we just do. is there away to I get to see my mail, photo stream, calender only on my iPhone and MBP, but not on my childrens ipod touch, iphone with the same apple id? Plus seeing their reminders, calendars, notes on my items annoys me.

I think you mean that you are using a single Apple ID for all of your family since there is no such thing as a Family Apple ID. Apple did offer a Family Pack but that consisted of 5 separate Apple ID accounts.
I know it was offered in .Mac and MobileMe but I do not think it is offered anymore. You can achieve the exact same thing by just signing up for separate iCloud accounts. The family pack of Apple IDs did not allow you to share purchased content between users if that is what you are looking for.
