My MBA is getting a little bit full up, I looked at the storage section on 'about this mac' and I have 20GB + of apps. So I decided to delete a few apps, however I was unable to drag and drop them into the trash from the launch pad as I would usually be able to. The apps just kept bouncing back into the launchpad.

I had to go into the applications folder and drag then from there. I deleted about 7 apps but the storage bar didn't even move.

Is there any way to find out how much room each app takes up? Or any way to find out what is in the 'other' file as I have 40GB tied up in there!

Thanks

Command-I on the App (from within the Applications folder) will show you the size of each. Also, space isn't really free until you empty the Trash - have you done so?

Thanks I will have a look at that when I'm back at my computer.

I emptied the trash, still didn't move
