I noticed after finally upgrading to iTunes 12 from iTunes 11 that the right-click "sync now" button was gone for the 1st Gen AppleTV that you can use to manually sync library changes to the AppleTV. I looked online to see if anyone else noticed or had a solution and found someone asking about it on the Apple discussion forums. They received a lot of replies from people who didn't even know what they were asking about. The "apply" button is ghosted unless you make other changes and is not the same thing. They suggested that the person send feedback to Apple which he claims he then did and that was back in June. More iTunes releases have occurred and guess what? No restored sync button.

Well, I found there still is a manual sync button, but it's only in the Menu Bar under File -> Devices -> Sync 'ATV Name'. While that's not as handy as the right-click, at least there's still a way to do it.

I listed some other issues I've had with iTunes 12 (repeat button disappearing after you turn it off after some time forcing you to use the menu bar to turn it back on, beach ball when iTunes tries to play a song on a drive that's gone to sleep while the computer itself is in screen saver mode and lamenting how I believe iTunes 10.x up until some version of 11.x used to save the repeat setting for each playlist (stopped doing it with iTunes 11.4 I think).

(P.S. I know we all think that Apple doesn't read those forums, but obviously they have paid employees that DO read them (moderators) as they proceeded to DELETE my reply since I mentioned how I hated the changes and thought iTunes like Yosemite was now UGLY under Johnny Ive's direction. That post was deleted in under 3 minutes of posting it! I even received an e-mail that said my rant about Mr. Ive's GUI was not helpful and so the entire post was deleted. How about that. They don't forward ANY problems to a tech guy. They don't answer anyone's questions, but they are like a freaking hawk when it comes to saying Mr. Ive made OS X UGLY. LOL.)
