iPhone How to mark email as unread from banner quickly - not having to scroll foen

In iOS 10 when an email came in, when you were using the phone, you could mark it as read very quickly from the banner at the top of the screen. Now in iOS 13 you have to drag the notification down to read the email across the whole screen and scroll to the bottom to find mark as read. This takes far longer.
Is there a way in iOS 13 to replicate iOS 10 or at least speed up the process?
