How to mass-delete contact photos

Hey guys-- facebook synced low-res pictures of all my contacts and i want to get them off. I'm not sure how to delete them except by going into edit in each contact and deleting. That wouldn't be a problem except that I have a few hundred contacts and it would take forever. The photos aren't present in my Camera Roll, so I can't get to them from there...

Any ideas of how to mass-delete contact photos?

Can you uncheck facebook contact sync?
Not sure if it would remove them though.
If not you're SOL spending a few hours deleting them manually.
