i will be purchasing an SSD soon and doing a fresh install of SL.

to transfer the apps/settings from my leopard hdd, do i use just the migration assistant to do so? will i encounter any problems?

what do you guys usually do when you migrate from leopard to snow leopard?

thanks.

Migration assistant is probably the way to go.

But what i've always done is export settings and databases from applications (like mail, unless you store it on the server), then uninstall/deactivate applications and finally backup/remove all of my documents making sure to leave the cruft behind.

what is the best SSD in the market for around 120-160gb? it seems like a toss up between OCZ, Intel, and OWC. Ill be putting this in my mid 09 mbp.

thanks!
