At present I've 750GB HDD and I just got OCZ Agility 3 2.5" 240GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive SSD (AGT3-25SAT3-240G) from Newegg

I got this caddy from Amazon to do a data doubler by moving my existing HDD to DVD drive slot and getting rid of DVD drive

I've Lion installed on my system 2 weeks back and I regularly do TM on my MBP. At present my 750GB HDD is divided into 250GB for all my OS and program installs and 500GB of all Data install. At present there is 70GB free space on primary OS partition. I've got Carboncopy cloner which I use from time to time to backup between drives. So what should be my way of transfering all my data from primary OS partition onto SSD ?

Just use CCC to make a bootable clone of your drive to the SSD, then boot from the SSD.

Yes use ccc. Dont forget to copy the partition hd recovery. Ccc do that withva few clicks. Its very simple.

Thanks for your comments. I've never done that if you dont mind could you please explain what it is and how do I do it ?

Thanks for your comments - Will I need to update firmware on SSD or first do bootable clone and than update firmware ? Also will I be able to update firmware from Mac or I'll need PC for updating firmware ?

Any idea on how should I check firmware on SSD ? I've Win7 machine but SSD is not showing up in it when connected using external enclosure. It shows in Device Manager of Win7 but not in Windows Explorer. Also I downloaded OCZ toolbox but when I run toolbox it cannot detect SSD.
