How to move watch to new iPhone

Is there anything special that has to be done with my watch or phone before making the move to a new iPhone? I know in general when changing iPhones you need to turn off find my iPhone and sign out of iCloud, etc. but I've never changed while owning a watch. Any advice?

when you're setting up your new phone, the phone will pop up something like "you have a watch, do want to use it with this phone"
all you have to do is click "yes" and it handles the rest.
