When i type in ios with on screen keyboard, i hit 123 key to get numbers and symbols. When i hit space key it goes back to letters. Is there a way to prevent it from switching?

how to not switch keyboards while typing

Place your finger on the ABC key and slide it onto the space bar. It changes visually for a moment and then back to numbers. This way you can add a space between numbers without switching keyboards.
Whoa! Did not know that. Like Gilda, I’ve had the same frustration when entering numbers, currency lists, etc.

Yay! Works just as advised.
Still, it would certainly be better if one could simply toggle off the automatic keyboard switching when entering a space in the numeric display.
In any case, anyone else feel there are too many such hidden tricks in the OS?
