I did a clean reinstall of my imac (was starting to act really slow) to snow leopard and i made a backup using time machine. im trying to reinstall my old files, but i don't want to reinstall ALL my old files, so i wanted to migrate SOME of the files to my macbook pro, while leaving some other media stuff on my imac. problem is, i can't do a simple click click copy paste by opening it up via finder because the "Movies" folder is locked and said i don't have enough permissions or whatever.

anyone want to help me out? i've read some stuff on how to remove locked files using terminal, but im trying to OPEN locked files.

thanks
