Go to settings<general<about<advertising and turn it "on" to opt out of ad tracking

Why this feature wouldn't be under privacy gets me, but if you don't want them tracking you. You might want to do this.

it will help with battery...since it wont be using your GPS

This doesn't use your GPS.

It will use cell tower/Wifi triangulation, because the EXACT location isn't impotrant, it just needs a rough location.

So battery life won't be effected.

Same with location based reminders, 99% of the time it uses cell tower/Wifi triangulation, and when it knows your are close to your target destination, only then the GPS will kick in the pin point where you are.

This is why location based reminders don't take up much battery at all :)

oh okay. i didnt know that.

when i use any location based reminder the arrow is in my status bar?

Yeah, the arrow is there.

It is letting you know it is currently tracking your location, but its only doing so through triangulation.

I always have location reminders going and my battery is great!

Saved me quite a few times as I'm insanely forgetful!
