I've just finished replacing imac 10,1 HDD due to smart failure.
I've replaced the drive with a 2TB one formatted in FAT32.
I've booted my mavericks installer USB, but it's saying the drive needs to be formatted in GUIP or something.
Is there a bootable option or some bootable freeware I can install in order to change the format/fat of the drive so I can continue the mavericks install?
Please help ASAP!
thanks!

Boot back to your Mavericks installer and there will be a screen where you can launch Disk Utility. From Disk Utility select the new drive at the very top of the left column then go to the erase tab in Disk Util. Now select Mac OS Extended (Journaled) in the dropdown then apply that format. Once the disk is formatted you can quit Disk Util and go ahead with the OS install.
