what do u mean?

I don't buy that you can't remember a 4 digit numerical password that you had to enter twice to set.

The phone is either A) stolen or B) someone else's that you're attmepting to snoop on.

It's not mean, it's simply logical deduction.

But like you said, you have the backup on your PC. Follow Applejuiced's suggestion.

You dont have to show or prove anything.
You cannot bypass that passcode unless you sit there for hours and punch in 1000 combinations till you get in.
Or restore it, thats all.
And be more carefull next time when you setup a password.

ok...
but look am am jailbreaker so how can i restore it without upgrading the firmware i unlocked the iphone at store for mobiles and i paid 50 euro's i don't want to pay again?

Ya of course isn't the same thing ? Jailbreak and unlock?

It all depends on what baseband you are on and if you have SHSH's saved on cydia for previous firmware.
Before you update to 4.2.1 I'd run Tinyumbrella to find out if you have shsh's for 4.0.2 or below incase you have a an unlockable baseband still there that is not the ipad's.

If not you can restore to 4.2.1, install the ipad BB and unlock it. You might be stuck with a tethered JB on your 3GS and you might lose GPS capabilities. Up to you if you want to attempt it.
