I travel a lot and want to put a password on my mbp similar to the one on my iphone. Can anyone help me? Thx.

System Preferences > Security > General

You can set a password for wake up and initial log in, if you so desire.

Would you use Firewall there too, It's automatically set to off?
Where is initial log in, I only see immediately or the time frames, but I'd also like to set pass for when switching on or is that the File Vault password, should that be on

You will want to have "Disable Automatic Login" checked for a password prompt at log-in.

Also, you needn't worry about FireVault and Firewall. If you're curious about them, click the '?' icon on the bottom right. It does wonders for your knowledge.

Yeh, thanks. I know what they are, just wondered if people use them....
