Guys
I have a external hard drive that has a built in thunderbolt male connection. I want to plug it into my 2012 Mac Pro that only has USB3 connections.......is there an adapter that I can get?

Neil

I was in a similar position a little while back and didn't find any such adapter......

If you have a thunderbolt drive...
... I don't believe there is any way to connect it to a Mac that DOESN'T have a thunderbolt connection port.

Your only option may be:
- open the drive enclosure
- take the drive itself OUT OF the enclosure
- put the drive into a DIFFERENT enclosure that is compatible...
